OUR MICRO-HYDROPOWER TURBINE TECHNOLOGY

Unlike the regular pressure-based turbines, our turbine uses the gravity of water accelerated through a vortex, making our micro hydropower solutions suitable for the typical Malaysian rivers and canals (low head of 1.5-3m) and medium flow of 1.5-3m3/sec). No dam or any large civil work is required!

THE VORTEX TURBINE: A BELGIUM TECHNOLOGY

Partnered with Turbulent NV, a Belgium tech specialist for hydro turbines, Sedania aims to provide reliable energy source to the "uncharted waters" of Malaysia.

The 5-70 kW Vortex Turbine:

  • Compact low-noise submerged design

  • Core unit designed to operate for over 25 years

  • Carbon steel parts have impact and abrasion resistant coating

  • Fish-friendly hydrodynamic rotor with flow-optimized blades and low turning speeds

  • Submersible gearbox and generator outfitted with Double Eagle Burgmann

  • Secondary sealing system with multiple layers of protection against fresh and brackishwater debris and sand designed by SKF for continuous heavy-duty use in harsh environments.

VORTEX TURBINE SUCCESS STORY

The Green School Bali has recently installed the Turbulent vortex turbine, providing up to 80% of the energy consumed by more than 700 students, teachers and staff. 

The 13 kW water turbine provides as much as renewable energy as a solar installation the size of four tennis courts.
