Daniel B. Ruppert
Daniel joined as Group CEO of Sedania Innovator Bhd in January 2018. He holds a Master degree in International Business Administration from the European Business School, Oestrich-Winkel, Germany, and a BSc in Computer Science from James Madison University, Virginia, U.S.
He started his career in Investment Banking with Broadview International / Jeffrey’s Investment Bank, London, where he was advising on Mergers & Acquisitions in technology industries, in particular software and internet-based businesses.
Daniel continued his career as Investment Banking Associate for WestLB Panmure, London, UK, in M&A advisory for High-Tech Engineering.
Since 2004, he established a proven track record in founding and expanding multiple tech-centric businesses, including his role as CEO of ARIF Solutions, a software company for purpose-built technological solutions for notable clients in Malaysia, including the FEI World Endurance Championships 2008 equestrian event organised by former Agong Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, and the Standard Chartered KL Marathon.
In 2006, he founded and expanded the Presto Group in Malaysia which operated 4 supermarkets in Klang Valley and became the first online supermarket in Malaysia with annual turnover of RM30 million, before he exited in 2015.
Daniel’s ability to forsee marketable business models from emerging technologies, combined with his passion to articulate and execute such strategies, makes him a valuable catalyst to Sedania’s vision.
Rizalzin graduated from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia with a Bachelor of Business in 1998. He is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and also a Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia Ltd.
He holds more than sixteen years of working experiences in various industries, including two years in hotel and services industry, five years in plantation, and manufacturing, and the remaining nine years in media, engineering and telecommunications services.
He started his career with Perhentian Island Resort, Terengganu in 1998 as an Accounts Executive. Subsequently in 2000, he was promoted to join its holding company, Inch Kenneth Kajang Rubber PLC, a company listed on Bursa Securities, London Stock Exchange Group PLC and Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited as the Assistant Manager of Finance and Administration, where he supervised the accounting functions of the company. He joined SCSB group as the group accountant in 2005 where he was involved in completing internal and external financial reporting, annual budgets and business plans of SCSB and its subsidiaries and associated companies. He was promoted to his current position as CFO of IDOTTV in 2007. He is responsible for managing the financial operations of our Group including fund raising, investor relations, corporate development activities as well as participating in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, venture investments and new business initiatives.
He currently sits on the boards of Clicks Network Sdn Bhd, Oranje ISC Sdn Bhd and I like Entertainment Sdn Bhd.
Razam was appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Sedania Innovator Berhad since 17 August 2017. He graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from the University of Evansville, Indiana, USA in 1992.
He has over twenty-five (25) years of technology-driven experience, especially in mobile solutions and value-added services (VAS) for the South East Asia market. Prior to his graduation, he was headhunted and recruited by Motorola USA as a Robotics Engineer in 1992 and was placed by Motorola USA with its Malaysian semiconductor subsidiary. For information-technology projects he has participated in, he was awarded the Bullseye Award by Motorola, and a Bronze Medal from the National Productivity Centre, Malaysia.
In 1993, he joined Celcom (M) Sdn Bhd, and over a span of seven (7) years, took on several key positions in Celcom. His last held position was the Head of Operation – ISP (Internet Service Provider) and Value Added Services in 2000, where he led the division in completing ISP and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) system deployment.
After a stint as a telecommunications consultant for a project in Vietnam, he joined AtlasONE Malaysia Sdn Bhd as Vice President, Technology / CTO in 2001. However, his calling as a technopreneur was stronger, the same calling that spurred him to establish Iridea Sdn Bhd back in 1999, a company that specializes in Mobile Application and VAS with solid presence in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Vietnam. He returned to Iridea Sdn Bhd in 2004 as the Chief Executive Officer, and achieved several local and regional awards including Developer Challenge Winner from Celcom in 2008, Winner of Creative VAS Solution from Indosat in 2010, Celcom’s 2014 Winner at The League of Extraordinary Developers Challenge and Best Social Network Services from Celcom in 2015.
Razam also played a key role in a Finnish company called PRYTE Oy, not only as its Asia Pacific Business Development Director, but also as an early investor and Board of Directors member. He helped build interest in the technology the company developed, and secured LOIs with ten (10) mobile operators in the region in less than two (2) years. He made a successful exit when Facebook acquired PRYTE Oy in 2014.
