KUALA LUMPUR: Sedania Innovator Bhd remains steadfast in its commitment to foster growth across all its business segments, said its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali.
He said the strategic focus for the remaining quarters of the financial year 2024 (FY24) is designed to leverage the company's strengths in sustainable healthcare, fintech, and sustainable energy.
"We onboarded Tanamera in end-2023 and anticipate new products and services that we will introduce to the market in the coming months," he said in a statement.
Abdul Halim said the transformative period following the company's change of financial year allows Sedania to improve operational efficiencies and adopt a data-driven business model. This, in turn, enables better cost and margin management, ensuring greater financial prudence.
"We are confident that by increasing our market presence and expanding our service offerings, we will continue to deliver value to our stakeholders, especially our loyal customers," he said.
For the cumulative period of 15 months ended March 31, 2024, the group posted a net profit of RM2.42 million. Its revenue came in at RM64.14 million.
The group posted a net loss of RM2.7 million in the quarter ended March 31, 2024, with a revenue of RM14.71 million.
Sedania remains cautiously optimistic about achieving positive financial outcomes through strategic plans and rigorous risk assessment to increase its brand visibility in key markets.Â
Its founder and managing director, Datuk Azrin Mohd Noor, said the company is poised for significant growth in the coming months as it continues to implement its strategic initiatives.
He said that these initiatives will transform the company's business model into one grounded in sustainability and under the leadership of its new group chief executive officer (CEO), Ng Hock Guan, succeeding Daniel Bernd Ruppert.
"We are confident that Ng's leadership will usher in a new era of growth and innovation for Sedania. His impressive track record and forward-thinking approach are in perfect alignment with our goals to uplift the well-being of families and ensure environmental sustainability," he said.
